Club Mahindra Signs New Dapoli Resort Near Murud Beach

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL) has announced a fresh addition to its Club Mahindra portfolio — a new beachside resort in Dapoli, located close to the popular Murud Beach on Maharashtra's Konkan coast. Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL) has signed a new 110-key beachside resort in Dapoli near Murud Beach, reinforcing its western coast expansion strategy.

The upcoming property will be built on a 13-acre parcel and rolled out in two phases rather than as a single launch. Spread across 13 acres, the upcoming Club Mahindra Dapoli Resort will feature 110 keys, launched in phases. The first phase, comprising 52 keys, is slated for launch in Q1 FY27, with the remaining inventory opening in Q2 FY27. This phased approach lets the company open a functional resort quickly while the balance inventory is built out over the following quarter.

The resort has been conceived as an experience-led coastal retreat rather than a plain accommodation block. The property is designed as a contemporary coastal retreat, offering immersive, experience-led stays for families. Planned amenities include a sea-facing all-day dining restaurant, open-air café, swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and a dedicated Happy Hub for children.

Geographically, this is a strategic pick. Dapoli sits in Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast, roughly 215-235 km from Mumbai and about 180-200 km from Pune, making it a comfortable drive-to weekend destination for both metros. Dapoli, located in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district, has emerged as one of the state's fastest-growing coastal tourism destinations. Known for its serene beaches, lush landscapes and historic forts, the town offers travellers a tranquil alternative to the more crowded coastal hubs. The area's accessibility by road from Mumbai and Pune has significantly boosted its tourism potential, especially among families looking for weekend escapes.

This signing is not a one-off; it is part of a much larger roadmap for the company. This addition forms part of the company's FY26–FY30 roadmap, which targets over 10,000 keys under Club Mahindra and an overall portfolio scale of 12,000 keys. Through a combination of new signings, greenfield developments, and management contracts across high-demand tourist corridors, the company is progressing toward its ambition of becoming India's #1 leisure hospitality player. Notably, the new resort marks MHRIL's first development in Dapoli and signals the beginning of a broader expansion strategy along India's western coastline.

It's worth noting that Club Mahindra already operates a larger, established 400-acre hill resort in Dapoli near Murud Beach, so this new 13-acre signing represents a second, distinct property in the same micro-market rather than an expansion of the existing one. The move also follows a broader pattern across the company's calendar, with new resorts and management contracts being added in other leisure corridors, including a recently launched property near Jim Corbett. For prospective members and holidaymakers tracking Club Mahindra's coastal footprint, Dapoli is shaping up to be an important new node on Maharashtra's western coast.
