Mahindra World City Chennai in Chengalpattu is an integrated township surrounded by 7 lakes, offering residential apartments and villa plots by Mahindra Lifespaces. It was established as an integrated business city under public-private partnership between Mahindra Lifespaces Group and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation. Mahindra World City Township Chennai has been established in year 2002, and it is India's first integrated business city and corporate India's first operational SEZ, promoted by the Mahindra Group in partnership with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), spanning over 1,500 acres and comprising of multi sector Special Economic Zones and a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA).
