About Mahindra World City Jaipur

Mahindra World City Jaipur is a large-format, integrated development by Mahindra Lifespaces that brings together residential, business, retail and industrial zones on a single, master-planned canvas. Built near NH8 (the Jaipur–Ajmer highway), the township is spread over 3000 acres and is located near Jaipur City, 18 km from the airport and 21 km from the railway station. It was set up as a joint undertaking between Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd and RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation), a Government of Rajasthan agency, and was inaugurated in 2007 by then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

The township is organised into two main components: a Multi-Sector Special Economic Zone spread across 1500 acres, covering IT/ITES, engineering, handicrafts and apparel sectors, and a Domestic Tariff Area spread over 1000 acres for residential and retail development. Global consultancy Jurong International of Singapore was appointed to shape the masterplan, and international design firm Arup later designed an extended residential and social district within the township, organised into ten self-sufficient, walkable neighbourhoods, each anchored by a local retail and facilities hub.

On the sustainability front, Mahindra World City Jaipur has been recognised as one of 16 projects globally under the Clinton Climate Initiative, and it became the first development in Asia to receive Stage 2 certification from the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group for its commitment to net-negative carbon emissions. Companies such as Infosys have set up facilities within the SEZ, reinforcing the township's positioning as a genuine live-work-play ecosystem rather than a standalone housing project.
